Now I'll have this to protect me from those cold Boston nights when the heater doesn't work! ----------------------- I actually think the horsewhip is pretty funny. Yeah, this comic has hit a new low. There's not even a joke here. Of course, right after I finished this I came up with an idea that was a lot better and relates to a rather big event that happened recently. I guess I'll draw that one up for next week. It'll be less relevant by then, but this comic has never really been up to speed, so whatever. The art here is pretty good, probably the high point of the strip. I tried to get a cheap laugh with the last three panels, as you can see. That only came about because I forgot to draw in Brad's cigarette for that one drawing. In other comic related news, I just recently learned that I've actually reached the demographic I've been aiming for. I recently got an email from a member of Something Awful's forums who posts on ADTRW saying that he's a fan of the comic, and then went on a bit of a rant on how Zac Bertschy is an asshole. I also found out that one Randall Fitzgerald is a fan of the comic, and he even plugged it one of his posts. I guess that means I have to stop making crappy comics like this one now. Anyway, on to anime. I am so glad I got IGPX on DVD. The video quality is just so much better than the crappy television broadcast, and I much prefer the Japanese over the English dub (though the dub does feature The Legend Mark Hamill.) I'm also liking the extras, even if they are focused on the US's production of the show. I like the interviews with the creative/technical staff over the ones with the dub actors. I actually turned of Michelle Rodriguez's interview because her stupidity was too much for me to handle. Either that, or I just really hate her voice. Probably a bit of both. Mark Hamill's interview, on the other hand, ruled. I'd like if they had some interviews with the Japanese staff, but I highly doubt that'd happen. A textless opening would be nice, too. I've decided to start following Blood+ raw until the end. Shinsen's finally caught up, but due to their "four episodes at the end of the month" routine, I think it'd be better to just follow it raw from now on, and download subs later. I've noticed the production slipping in the past couple installments, but things seemed to get back up to standard in episodes 42 and 43. I guess it's natural for a show of Blood+'s length to be more susceptible to production slipups, even if IG is at the helm. Then again, another one of IG's currently running works is a COMPLETE production slipup. That's why I dropped it. It genuinely confuses me as to why people aren't watching Zegapain. While its animation is a bit under par, the story is positively compelling. Well, maybe not positively compelling, but it's interesting enough for me to keep watching despite the sometimes below standard animation. I still wish the mecha fight scenes were animated with regular 2D animation. I really don't like the Zoids-esque battles. They just lack the kind of intensity that can be achieved with regular 2D animation. Fucking low budgets... Innocent Venus is off to a good start. I have to say it that it mixes 3D models and 2D animation a lot better than Zegapain. Actually, the animation looks pretty good on all fronts. I'm liking the survival story matched to the post apocalyptic setting so far. Action scenes are brutally realistic, almost GITS level. I like the characters, too. It does help that there is a cute loli in the cast. Actually, that could be why the entire cast has won me over. Yeah, I'm shallow. Also, the opening sequence is pretty cool, despite it taking some shortcuts. That's about it for this week. In about 2 weeks from now I'll be posting from college. I'm not sure how my college schedule will effect comic production, but let's hope it doesn't hinder it too much. god i

Wow. I wasn't expected that much of a response from these Otakon videos. But apprently they've become somewhat popular. Something Awful Forums seems to have enjoyed it, and Jen has apparently become somewhat of a legend. Maybe just because Machall hit on her on pictochat: "Hey MoY why don't you tell bunny girl over there to hop across the aisle so we can show her how a real man uses a stylus" or maybe just because everybody took pictures of her. Anyway; the point is. Stop e-mailing me asking for pictures of her naked.
The next year is going to be odd. First off I am going to be stuck in D.C. alone. Without Wildarms and GS, who are both in college as of next week (GS is already gone). I dunno what I am going to do. I guess maybe I won't have to deal with Loli references, or guro references, or anything that may result in me becoming a serial killer by the age of 24.
I am going to be putting the Otakon videos in the misc. section soon. So, look for them there instead of my rant.
