...because that show was anything but beautiful! And so is this comic. It's terrible looking! Worse comic yet, in my opinion. The drawings are all wrong, the backgrounds are rushed (blurs) and the coloring is rather bad, too. Next week will be better! I promise!

If you haven't already guessed, this comic is about FUNimation's new "Babes Blades Blood Beauty" advertising campaign. And, like the comic so rightfully says, it is an awfully stupid idea. It's already retarded to blow tons of money on not one, but four shitty shows. And to make things ever worse, they try to market these "adult" (I say adult because half of the sites for these shows have an age verification thing) titles with a dumb slogan. What adult would be attracted to a slogan like "Babes Blades Bood Beauty" anyway? Well, I guess they do have to capitalize on stupid people who would fall for such advertising if they want to sell a crappy product. It's kind of funny how companies WONDER why sales are dwindling. It's not fansubbers, it's you guys! License some quality, NOT SHIT. Now you're probably thinking, "Oh, it's just four shows... I'm sure they'll get better ones." If you're thinking that, then you're wrong, because, surprise surprise, FUNimation went a got more crap. Remember what Shingo had to say about Glass no Kantai? Remember how it wasn't good? I really hope, for FUNimation's sake, that they didn't spend too much money on that. I actually hope they got it for free.

I recently received an e-mail from one Adam Arnold. For those who don't know, he is the writer of the comic Aoi House. Yes, Aoi House, the comic I've flamed a number of times in the past. I was scared shitless for a moment. I can say with all honesty that I was not expecting him of all people to e-mail me. It's kind of like someone saying to a mosquito, "Hey there! You're sucking my blood!" but not squashing the mosquito. I won't post the e-mail, but it seemed like he was a good sport about my bashing (I mean, he has to be! He's an adult, after all.) I replied in my normal way, and he replied back to clear up some of my misunderstandings. Now I can say that I kind of understand where he's coming from, but I hate his comic. Who knows, maybe ol' Svetlana will e-mail me... all the way from Svetlania!

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu has come to an end. Or a middle? It ends on episode 6 (of 14), after all. The final episode was pretty good; almost End of Evangelion-esque at its climax. I felt that the solution for the whole situation was a bit cheesy, but I like a good amount of cheese every now and again. I don't have much else to say about the episode, though, other than that Imouto-chan and Mikuru sure were cute. Actually, let us all celebrate the end with some pictures of my two favorite characters!

At around the series' mid-point, I said that the episode shuffle would work when the series is viewed as a complete work, and it did. I'm glad that the series managed too answer a good number of questions in all the confusion, but still left a lot open for a second series. Who was that woman by the seaside? Adult Mikuru, perhaps? Why was that girl who asked the SOS-Dan for help in episode 7 so important that she got included in the opening sequence? Why did she lie about having a boyfriend? Why was the cat talking in episode 1? Is Koizumi HARD GAY? Was there any DEEP MEANING to SOMUDEI IN ZA REIN!?! Who knows?! It's important to note that most of the questions fall AFTER the Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuuutsu arc (chronolically), which is why I think it would be interesting now to see the series in Haruhi order. KyoAni, KyoAni, we demand a season 2!

Also, for the record, just how old is Imouto-Chan? If memory serves, they did mention that she was in fourth grade, right? That'd make her around 9 or 10. Sweet.

I'm rewatching Azumanga Daiou in order to give my brain a fucking rest after GITS:SAC. It does not disappoint at episode 8, but I don't think the series really gets into full swing until the halfway mark. I did miss all their voices, though. Especially Osaka. Mmm, Osaka.

I'm also rewatching Futakoi Alternative after about a year. I'm at episode 4, and this series doesn't disappoint either. I actually forgot how good the series was.

Speaking of UFOtable, I recently caught the opening episode of Coyote Ragtime Show. I'm fairly impressed, but others seem to disagree (I am sad when people say they enjoyed the parody sub more.) The production values are awesome, the characters seem fun, and the lead, MISTER, is just as cool as I thought he would be. I am looking forward to the second episode, very much so.

When a sub for Coyote Ragtime Show first hit, it was the parody sub. I turned it off after about 2 minutes, as I just can't stand things like this. It's about on the same level as Adult Swim's adding mustaches to characters or adding fart sounds to episodes. I feel if you're going to do parody, at least do it right. Make it your self. Don't just take some existing work and butcher it with a stupid bogus translation or dumb drawings and sounds. This is partly why I don't like most proper fansubs either, because I feel they almost do the same thing. Except for it's not intentional.

That's all for this week. I'm gone.

Let me get right to it:

I love this comic. Not just because it is a reference to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but because of Wildarms' attempt at a new perspective in the opening panel. I guess all the free time Wildarms has had has come to good use. Seeing the fan art he posted above (Makes me jealous of my lack of talent on the drawing table).

So, I saw an Inconveniant Truth. You can either listen to my letter read out in the podcast Filmspotting or just read ahead: This film is terrible. This film treats you like you are stupid. I have never been so offended. Most of the film simply is a slide sho, I'm cool with that, but when this films fades into Gore's life. I don't care. My entire class groaned. If you want to learn about Global Warming: read a book. Anyway, on to spoilers:

Ok. First off, two Haruhi episodes have come out since my last rant. Episode 12 and Episode 13. I did not enjoy Episode 12, it was an attempt to develop Haruhi's character too quickly, I love the idea of helping someone, but a rock show? Seriously. Talk about fan service. The rock show was too long and bored me. What made episode 11 good was you had the characters doing what they do best, most of this episode was plotless. Episode 13, however was amazing. It was a bit preachy, but when you finally had some development of another male character and you see how passionate he is about Haruhi. That was good. Can't wait for the end.

No new episodes of Ergo Proxy. *frown*

/END SPOILERS

So, after two years of being lazy and not watching it. I've decided to start watching Battlestar Galactica. After re-watching the Miniseries I reminded myself how much I loved the Miniseries two years ago. This is spot on, perfect Sci-Fi. So, I have two seasons to get through, so no spoilers yet...so....see yah later.
